Our story

We are a family for which the silence of nature is more beautiful than the hustle and bustle of the city, and the views of the forest represent the most interesting movie.

It all started with our children. While raising them, we realized that the most fun childhood adventures are experienced outdoors. We were looking for a place where nature meets human creativity, where fairy tales are reborn. Then we thought, why not do it ourselves?

It took ten years from the birth of the idea to its realization, before Šakalinis Park finally opened its doors to visitors.

We created all the sculptures and attractions of the Šakal park from oak, strengthening the human connection with nature. We ran away from plastic, kitsch and aimed to create something real. We wanted our park to be interesting not only for children and teenagers, but also for their parents and grandparents. After all, even adults are children at heart! Get health from nature and return to the fairy tale here in Šakalini Park for a while!

The sculptures in the Šakalinio park were created by the renowned Lithuanian sculptor and folk artist Rimantas Zinkevičius, whose award-winning work is celebrated around the world.

For his dedication to preserving folk art traditions, Rimantas was honored with the title Lietuvos šviesuolis (Enlightener of Lithuania).

It was in the artist’s magical hands that the forest’s very own fairy tale – full of mystery and love for nature – was born.

Part of the park’s sculptures were created by Rimantas’s son Andrius, while painter Valentinas Varnas and Rimantas’s granddaughter Vaiva enriched the works with color.

Designers Skirmantė and Vilius (JSC “Ekspozicijų sistemos”) have been our trusted partners throughout the park’s creative journey. Their professionalism, patience, and creative approach helped shape the park’s concept and interior design. The portfolio of “Ekspozicijų sistemos” includes more than fifty impressive, award-winning exhibitions and displays for Lithuanian museums and visitor centers. It has been a great honor to collaborate with such experienced professionals.

We would like to thank the artist, inventor, and educator Mantas Kazakevičius (SP “Tapsmas”) for the interactivity incorporated into the park’s sculptures and attractions, as well as for the structural and engineering solutions developed for the Šakalinis playground.

We sincerely thank architect Tomas Lapė of UAB “Studija lape” for the architectural design solutions developed for the buildings at Šakalinis Park.
